[HY4RES] Open Day – How hybrid renewable energy systems can enhance energy self-sufficiency in energy communities? 🇵🇹

This event is officially part of the European Sustainable Energy Week (EUSEW) 2026 – as a Sustainable Energy Day 🎉

Discover how HY4RES is demonstrating hybrid renewable energy solutions at its community energy pilot site in Senhora do Salto, Portugal, one of the four pilot sites of the project: a historic mill and surrounding building powered by a community-scale hybrid system combining hydro, solar PV and wind. 

👉Expert interventions: contributions from local and academic experts on innovative energy efficiency solutions at Águas do Douro e Paiva, small hydro applications, and the Cepeda water mill rehabilitation project.

👉HY4RES pilot overview by researchers from Trinity College Dublin and Instituto Técnico – Universidade de Lisboa, providing context for the afternoon’s focus on hybrid systems and their role in supporting local energy communities.
